The complete video program is a stepped series of 5 videos, designed to take a non-reader from beginning reading to college level. Each video has 10, two or three-part lessons, and requires several weeks to as long as a year to complete. The built-in instructions which are essential for a non-reading adult are also helpful to parents, (who have been out of school for awhile), in working with their children.
Each tape comes with a computer-generated word list and a chart for tracking day-to-day progress. They are filled with words of encouragement and specific suggestions for quick mastery of each section. There are lessons for developing sound-symbol mastery, for developing fluency, i.e. speed and smoothness, and the ability to read well, aloud.
